Welcome to Wonderville is the first episode of Pinkfong Wonderstar. It originally aired on June 27, 2019 at 5:15pm KST on KBS2, and is the first episode of the English release on YouTube Originals.

Synopsis[]
Pinkfong flies his star to Wonderville. An unexpected accident causes him to crash on the roof of a house.
Pinkfong, traveling in search of a friend, meets Hogi in his house. Wanting to help more of their friends, they immediately create a team called Wonderstar, to solve their friends' troubles. [1]
Plot[]
Pinkfong rides on his star Pio, amongst the clouds. He even greets the moon. Cut to Hogi, in his house, reading a book about constellations. He then gets his telescope and puts it close to his window. He looks inside it, and sees the moon. Then he sees a star twinkle, which happens to be Pio and Pinkfong.
Pinkfong aims to go down to Hogi’s house, but then speeds too fast and almost crash-lands. Hogi jumps backward in fright, and Pinkfong misses the house by just an inch. He then surprisingly crashes on top of it. Hogi looks at the star, and asks if anybody is there. Pinkfong jumps inside the window and introduces himself to Hogi. Hogi introduces himself too, and Pinkfong congratulates him for being his first new friend.
Pinkfong looks inside Hogi’s house and messes around with his toys. Hogi tells him that he’s making a mess, and Pinkfong apologizes. Pinkfong then spots Hogi’s telescope, and runs to it. Hogi then chases after him, only to trip on one of the toy trains Pinkfong had dropped and crash the telescope.
Hogi looks at it in agony, and Pinkfong tells Hogi that he can fix it with his magic. Hogi was confused. Pinkfong floats in the air, with Pio emitting light and magic particles. Pinkfong says the magic sentence that triggers his magic[2] and points at the telescope pieces. The telescope glows, then is rebuilt. Hogi looks at the telescope in delight. The telescope breaks, and Hogi asks why this happened. Pinkfong tells him that it’s still fragile and needs more work. Hogi asks Pinkfong on how he rebuilt the telescope. Pinkfong tells him that Pio helps him grant wishes. Hogi asks if he could make a wish, and Pinkfong tells him that he can.
Hogi then asks him various wishes, ranging from flying to becoming a detective. Pinkfong asks him why he wants to be a detective, and Hogi tells him that detectives could solve any problem, so they could help their friends with anything. Pinkfong tells Hogi that he wants to be one too. Hogi then forms a team. Pinkfong gets a circular badge, displaying him and Hogi. Hogi asks him what this is, and Pinkfong tells him that if he makes a friendship, he gets a badge. This was only a legend, until it got proven true. Pinkfong then believes that there’s so many more friends he can make everywhere. Pinkfong asks what should be the name of the team, and Hogi comes up with the name Wonderstar, since Pinkfong came on a star, and they live in Wonderville. Pinkfong likes the name, and makes a catchphrase[3] for the team.
Cut to the next day, Pinkfong and Hogi are at the tree hideout outdoors. Pinkfong then puts the badge they got on what they called the Badge Wall. Hogi runs to the store of the tree hideout with a tennis racket, and puts it inside. Pinkfong catches up, and Hogi tells him that they’re now open for business. The hideout store door opens, with things falling out. Pinkfong asks Hogi why they needed these items, and Hogi tells him that they might need them for solving problems. These items ranged from life preservers to welding goggles, although they have never used these items in any other episode.
Pinkfong puts the welding goggles on and spots cookies. Hogi tells him that they can’t solve a problem with an empty stomach. Hogi then makes posters for Wonderstar in the shape of paper planes, throwing them into the air with a small electric fan to help blow them away. They launch their first invitation. The paper airplane falls on the floor. Pinkfong comes up with an idea to make the fan larger, so he used Pio to do so which blew Hogi away out of the gate. Hogi is thrilled with the idea, so they launch their remaining invitations.
Cut to Pinkfong and Hogi sitting at the table. Pinkfong tells Hogi that they should practice greeting customers since they would be there at any second. Hogi tries, and Pinkfong gives him a good job done. Cut again on a later moment in time. Pinkfong lies on his chair and falls. Hogi sighs. Cut again to another later moment, where Hogi tells Pinkfong that he thought it would be easy to find someone who needs help, but the only person who needed help was him.
Cut to a final moment in time where Pinkfong and Hogi are lying on the ground, sleeping. A worried Myan was at their door. Pinkfong and Hogi wake up, and Myan tells them that he has a problem. Pinkfong and Hogi do their Wonderstar pose, and Pinkfong recites the catchphrase. Myan walks to the cliff where the cheese fell off, and Pinkfong and Hogi follow. The episode ends.

Pinkfong is shown wearing goggles, this may be a reference to his appearance in the Baby Shark music video.

Trivia[]
In the original episode, Pinkfong hit Hogi with a book. In the YouTube release, that scene was cut, which might be a production mistake.
There are also some deleted scenes in the show's first promo, including one scene where Pinkfong and Hogi are pointing at the viewer (which implies the show is originally going to be interactive) and another where Hogi hugs Pinkfong.
