Differences from the source material

  • The show features a new animation style that is strongly distinguished from the original animation of the songs, and the brand's general look.
  • In Korean, Baby Shark is named "Ollie". To keep the same amount of syllables when talking, he is nicknamed "Baby" in English.
  • The show has many comedic scenes, in a similar vein to SpongeBob SquarePants, a show that airs on the same network.
    • Coincidentally, both shows take place in the ocean, and the main characters are both yellow sea creatures.
  • The series introduces new characters, but strangely, ChiChi has not yet appeared.
  • Baby Shark does not eat William anymore like he did in the original songs.
